The result of absolute boredom, and a very late night/early morning.
Incredibly stereotypical Aussie male, so shoot me.
Got a beaut chilled six-pack,
Warm beer is such a crime -
Drank it with me snag-in-bread,
Watched the footy on Channel Nine.
Me and some guys from work,
Told the boss he was outta luck.
Every day? Too many early mornings!
Nah mate, we could never be f****d!
Yeah, and when I look back now -
The work days seemed to last forever.
Glad I made that choice,
The couch is where I'll be, yeah!
Until the last days of my life.
Ain't no use intervening,
When the kids are havin' a blue.
Grab the 'mote and turn up the volume,
And say 'I can't hear you!'
Or send 'em out on the porch,
Tell 'em they can stay forever.
Mircrowave a pie-and-sauce,
That's all you'll need forever.

Watchin' footy on Channel Nine.
Mate, I was livin' a lie,
Working made me restless,
So I packed the damn lot in.

And now the times are changin'
Footy's over and the cricket's come.
Think I better, get another six pack.
Kids want the telly, but I'm not done.

I'm not. Football and cricket both bore me, and I don't like beer.
(If I have to pick a favourite football code, I'll go with
International Rules, mainly in order to be contrary. The ISO standard
unit for football code quality is SBB - Seconds Before Boredom - and
more than one is a good score.)

I agree with you but there are whole chunks of our country that keep
getting it wrong.
